“In Australia there are over 5 million rangeland goats that thrive in the semi-arid regions of the continent. Rangeland goats are the descendants of a wide range of different breeds introduced from all over the world. The result of this cross breeding and the environment is a resilient, disease free animal”

MLA – Rangeland Goat Processing In Australia

Skin On Goat

The Game Meats company specializes in the production of skin on goats. The majority of the goats processed are sourced from Rangeland conditions in NSW, and trucked directly to the processing plant in North East Victoria.

Skin on goat is an increasingly popular product in many areas around the world, with strong demand in Asia and North America.

The skin on processing also delivers fantastic yields to our goat suppliers, as the skin on goat carcass produces a significantly higher yield than skin off processing.

Once processing is complete, the carcass is wrapped in a plastic outer liner, and a poly stockinette bag, and blast frozen. Once the freezing process is complete the skin on goat carcasses are ready to be loaded into sea containers for shipping to the destination country.

Skin Off Goat

Skin off goat processing is more of a traditional process where the skin is removed from the carcass during processing. The goats are cut up into six pieces (6 way cut goat) and packed into 25kg cartons.

Smaller sized skin off goat carcasses can also be shipped whole carcasses, meaning they will be wrapped in a plastic outer liner, a poly stockinette bag, and blast frozen.
