First Production Day 1996

The Game Meats Company Of Australia commenced in November 1996 exclusivity raising and processing Emu and Ostrich through a grower network of farmers from properties in the Alpine region of Victoria’s North East, to the sweeping plains of Victoria.

In 1998 the Game Meats Company introduced venison to their facility while continuing to build export accreditation to different countries with halal status into the Middle Eastern countries and Malaysia.

In 1999 the company moved into processing skin on and skin off goats making the Game Meats Company the first multi species plant in Australia.

Over the past 20 years the business has grown into a world class EU accredited export processing facility, with well established markets in:

  • United States
  • Korea
  • Saudi Arabia
  • European Union
  • Hong Kong

The Game Meats Company’s openness in business and “can do” approach has ensured it’s success as judged by the customers in its delivery of service and satisfaction.
